What’s taste do you like?

Teacher time: June.22

Language focus: Using adjectives to identify taste.

eg: soursweetbitterhot

Asking ‘what taste do you like?’ questions to identify students.

eg: I like sweet.

Language skills:

Listening

Locate specific information in response to simple instructions.

Speaking

Use modeled phrases to communicate with other learners.

Warm up    Let’s chant. (tomato)

 

Pre-task preparation

1.     Lead in: invite to students come to my home and have got some food for them.

2.     Ask some one taste food and tell me ‘what taste is it ?’.Learn to words. The rest of the class do the actions.

 

While-task proceduce

1.     Get students’ attention. Say ‘listen to me’ followed by a ‘our’ sound and point to the board. Repeat several times and ask the students to follow me.

2.     Have the students perform the action several times and then encourage them to repeat the command after me as they perform the action.

3.     Practice: Play the games 1.sour---- boys and girls

                       2.sweet---- by a train

                       3.bitter---- a small teacher

                         4.hot----- one by one

                         5.pass box--- from sour to hot

4.Sentence: What taste do you like? ---- I like sour(…)

         Let’s chant : sour  sour     I like sour

                   sweet  sweet   I like sweet

                   bitter  bitter    I like bitter

                   hot     hot     I like hot

Post-task activities

1.     Play the games: pass box. Teacher has a magic box. Pass it.

2.     Divide the class into four teams. Have a more able student give commands and the test perform the actions in each team.

Conclusion

    It’s normal to have different things are good or bad during we lives. We should learn how to treat them. Of cause, I hope you will taste sweet forever.
